Students for a Sustainable Campus works actively with The Ohio State University to pursue greater levels of sustainability both on campus and off. SSC maintains that as both the nation's largest university as well as a major research institution, The Ohio State University should take a leading role in the area of conservation and propel itself into an era of sustainability.
In 2006 and 2007, Students for a Sustainable Campus has hosted the Scarlet, Gray & Green Fair to raise awareness for energy & environmental issues and initiate enthusiasm for environmentalism among the student body.
Since then, SSC has decided to change its focus to better reach students and staff of OSU by hosting Green Beans, an interactive speaker series on issues of importance to environmentalism and green living today, which will launch in the Winter quarter of 2008.
